A deeper dive

New springs, bushes or steering components change the geometry. If nobody checks it afterwards, a repair meant to save tyres can quietly start destroying them.

At Big Wheels, we don’t guess. We measure the alignment after the work is done — by us or by anyone else — confirm every angle sits within spec, and correct it if it doesn’t.

The result: the repair actually holds, your tyres last, and you have the numbers in writing.

Why repairs change your alignment

Springs, bushes and steering parts all hold your wheels at precise angles. Replacing them, even with identical parts, can shift those angles slightly. That small change is enough to cause pulling and uneven tyre wear.

When a post-repair check is needed

Book a check after any suspension, steering or axle work, or after an accident, even a minor one. It’s also worth booking one if the truck handles differently after a repair or new tyres start wearing unevenly.
