A deeper dive

An unbalanced wheel doesn’t just make the cab shake. It wears the tyre unevenly, stresses the suspension, and makes a long day behind the wheel far more tiring than it needs to be.

At Big Wheels, we don’t guess. We balance each wheel precisely, remove the vibration at its source, and check whether the imbalance points to a tyre or wheel problem underneath.

The result: a smoother ride, longer tyre life, and less wear on the components behind the wheel.

What causes wheel imbalance

Common causes include uneven tread wear, a lost balance weight, tyre or rim damage, and mud or debris built up inside the wheel. Even new tyres need balancing, since no tyre and rim are perfectly even.

How balancing extends tyre life

An unbalanced wheel bounces as it rolls, hammering the same spots on the tread and causing cupping. Balancing keeps the tyre flat on the road, so it wears evenly and lasts longer.
