A deeper dive

Loose steering and worn suspension creep up slowly. By the time a driver notices the wander or the clunk, the truck has been chewing tyres for months.

At Big Wheels, we don’t guess. We measure the play in every component, tell you which parts are worn, and replace them with heavy-vehicle-rated parts, then confirm the vehicle is back within spec.

The result: tighter steering, a smoother ride, longer tyre life and a safer vehicle.

What is steering and suspension wear?

Components like kingpins, tie rod ends, bushes and shock absorbers loosen gradually under heavy loads and long kilometres. That loosening lets the wheels move in ways they shouldn’t.

How worn parts hurt tyres and handling?

Loose components let the wheels shift out of alignment while driving, so tyres scrub and wear unevenly. The truck also becomes harder to control, with more wander, vibration and slower steering response.
