Big Wheels Partners with Women in Trucking Australia

Big Wheels are thrilled to announce our partnership with Women in Trucking Australia (WiTA), an inspiring non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting gender equality and creating opportunities for women in the heavy vehicle driving industry. At Big Wheels, we're passionate about empowering the next generation of truckers and breaking down barriers on the road to equality.

Who are Women in Trucking Australia?

Women in Trucking Australia are a remarkable non-profit company founded by female, heavy vehicle drivers for female heavy vehicle drivers. Their primary goal is to collaborate with various stakeholders to eliminate barriers and enhance training and employment opportunities for women who aspire to establish careers as heavy vehicle drivers. They offer a valuable networking platform for women to support each other in overcoming the unique challenges they tackle as drivers, with the aim of narrowing the gender gap among heavy vehicle drivers. Their broader mission includes fostering a robust driver community and increasing the presence of safety-conscious, professionally trained female truck drivers on Australian roads. WiTA boosts female participation, breaking down barriers, advocating for employment opportunities, providing mentorship, sharing insights, and championing the cause.

Why This Partnership is Exciting for Big Wheels:

At Big Wheels, we believe in the power of unity. This partnership with WiTA signifies our commitment to empowering everyone in the trucking industry. We're proud to be a part of this initiative, which seeks to increase female workforce participation in a traditionally male-dominated sector.

We see this as an opportunity to drive positive change within the industry and the broader community. Here's what this partnership means to us:

Breaking Barriers:

We are excited to join hands with WiTA in their mission to break down barriers. Together, we can create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for female truck drivers, ensuring that they receive the same opportunities and recognition as their male counterparts.

We are proud to stand with WiTA in their mission to empower women in the heavy vehicle driving sector. Together, Big Wheels and Women in Trucking Australia are steering Australia in a more equitable and prosperous direction, making the trucking industry a better place for everyone.
